On 23 Nov I purchased a Dell Inspiron for my wife as a Christmas gift. It was configured and shipped out on 29 Nov, and I received it and all was well and good. Well, I checked the Dell Coupons section and see that there is a $200 coupon for Inspiron laptops $899+. I wanted to get a new laptop for my daughter as well, and priced one out with the discount it would come to a little over $750 with tax. Well I called Dell Customer Service, to see how I could go about getting the discount applied to the first machine I bought, since I was on day 20 of when I ordered it. The first guy I spoke with didnt think there was anything that could be done, so he transferred me to a sales specialist. She couldnt give me a $200 credit, but she did offer me $100 credit to my account, plus a $100 coupon to be applied to a future purchase. I was happy with that. All in all, I managed to save myself $485 ($400 in coupons, plus $85 in next day shipping, since that was free also). Not a bad haul at all if you ask me :)
