When I ordered mine on the 31st July, I think I remember having to pay extra for the webcam. Now, when I check on the dell site, it is a standard feature, not an option.
Can someone clear this up with me? Do you guys think they can compensate this if it is true? I think it was something like £20 (excl VAT)
I would check on my invoice but it isn't itemised; it just lists the spec in detail with one final total.
Thanks guys and girls
Much Love

Yh due to the delays they are upping the specs but keeping the price around the same. Email the guy you ordered from for comoensation or pretend you want to cancel.
-
It costs what it cost at the time you make your order. If you want to take advantage of a better deal then you need to cancel and reorder. Dont expect them to give you anything. They are probably not offering the non-webcam option cus they dont have the non-webcam lids.

jeeez, whats with you...do you work for dell?
so what if they lose out on £20. -
With long delays on most Vostros around the world, Dell really should charge people based on the cost on the day of dispatch (presuming it's lower of course) rather than day of order.
-
so does anyone have any proof that they were charging for the webcam option, like a screen shot or something?
this would be much appreciated
cheers guys -
Ok - Let me lie to you. Yes Dell will adjust your order and knock off £20 - no problems.
Feel better?
And no I don't work for Dell - just telling it like it is.
