    Sorry if this thread was already posted. I did a search and nothing came up.

    I have an inspiron 1521 and can't figure out how to make it not go into hibernate. And when it is in hibernate, I go to turn it back on (tapping the power button once) and instead of booting up, it shuts off entirely. It's not supposed to shut off unless I hold the button down. How the hell do I fix this??

    You can disable hibernate. Also, to come out of hibernate, tap any button other than the power button.

    it says it's disabled. and i'll try the hitting any other button thing. thanks.
