-
how about you go to http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822146226
-
That's only 100 gigs this one is 160 gigs -
Nice find, is it only compatible on the latitude?
-
It is a 2.5" hdd so it should be compatible with all Laptops
-
even less than that with paypal coupon
-
anyone have any coupons to make this deal sweeter ?
-
hmm theres no paypal savings from SB, too bad i can't stack that with my sb 10%.
-
order it from home
-
well than my SB10% stop working and I can't use my $50 concession coupon either
-
Home doesn't have a 160gb drive available... btw, hot to threadcrap or anything, how about that $160 for a 250gb external 2.5" drive? Maybe get that and rip it out and install in the system, and put the old drive into the enclosure?
-
is the 250Gig 7200 rpm?
-
oh **** where can u get that 250gb?
-
-
its not out yet. There is a 200GB 7200RPM drive out however.
-
Yeh but thats like $250, i want the 250gb 4 $160 =)
-
when will it be available?
-
Oh, I'm sorry... It's available NOW thru buy.com and dell

It's 5400rpm but AFAIK, 250gb rpm 2.5" drive is as fast as the 7200rpm 160gb 2.5" drive, there was a test done somewhere. I guess higher density helps or something. -
deal is still alive
-
damn thats a steal, so you can just take it out and stick it in the laptop?
Are you sure the speed is the same? -
-
the case for the passport seems pretty difficult to open up
-
Yeh thats wt i was thinkin when watching the video! i really wanna keep the case and stik my old 80gb in there!
-
Anybody wanna uh... spend some money and test it out 4 the rest of us?
-
i have that harddrive, theres no screws or anything, so other than using a hammer to smash open the casing i dunno what else ppl can do.
-
Damn it, i guess u could saw round the edge n glue it back but it will be a bit messy! is the whole case smooth any indents where you can cut it and get away wit it?
Are you gonna take it out and stick it in your lappy? -
i don't think theres anyway to take out the HD and still leave the casing functional,, or for that matter it might be difficult to get the HD out and have it that remain functional. I have no idea where the HD is at in the casing, -
Must be possible hmmm, it would be nice to have 250gb internal..
-
I want 1 tb in my laptop 7200 rpm
-
Hhaha i wish -(
-
Whats the big deal? It's kind of a nice case, but for $10 you can buy another case. So brake the 250GB case, put that in your lappy, buy a case for $10 and put your origional notebook HD in there. I'm considering that. 250GB for $160 shipped is a steal!
-
Yeh good point, will it actually connect properly etc... try it Jason let us know wt your results are!
-
it's a standard SATA drive inside, so it'll connect properly, no worries. The question is whether it does perform on par with a 7200rpm 160gb drive

Yeh like that other guy said the larger capcity's for some reason are faster!
-
wow maybe ill grab one and see..
-
damn, this would have helped a couple days ago.
-
Yeh ima have to get one of these, when i save up enough money =)
-
Would be nice wouldn't it ?
-
Still alive !!!
-
got the 160 one for 85$ shipped using concession coupon for Vista basic return. Going to put this puppy in my laptop and move the 120 GB to my PS3.
Fun Fun Fun ..... -
Nevermind.
-
There is, however, really no comparison to a cheap case. The Western uses a single usb cable for power and data transfer. It's far superior to anything else out there. Most all of the other cheap and not so cheap external 2.5 sata cases require a y cable for using 2 usb ports, one for power and one for data. That might not work on the M1330 so well considering the layout of the usb ports. -
