Last week, there was a $100 (off $1999) coupon, which was stackable with the $750 (off $1999) coupon. When combined with a standard $35 off $300 coupon, another 2% off for using a Dell Preferred account, 3% for going through fatwallet, AS WELL as a free 1GB upgrade and free shipping, it brought the price of a very well configured E1705 in the range of about $1150. I have the great fortune to live in Oregon as well, so no sales tax!

I almost pulled the trigger, but to tell the truth, a new laptop is more of a "want" then a "need" at this point in time. I also know that if I wait a few months, I will receive a faster/better laptop for generally the same amount of money.

My question is this. How common was that extra stackable $100 off $1999 coupon? I see a $750 off $1999 coupon come and go quite regularly, but that extra little $100 off was just the icing on the cake!

Should I expect it to appear again in the future?

    Thanks.

i cant tell you where to get that coupon but if you call dell sales enough, they will give you $100 off without the coupon.

for example.. you configured online and applied this coupon and that coupon and so much percent off from someplace... print that out.. then call up dell and ask for free shipping if it isnt already offered and tell them to beat the price you already pre-configured by 100$.

if you dont get it from the first salesperson... call back and talk to some other sales person. probably 1-3 tries will get you the deal you want.
