    Dell will be running a very good coupon starting at 6:00 a.m. CST tomorrow, we can post it at 1:00 a.m. EST tonight (midnight CST). Now, it's not $750 off like we had in October...but getting close and free shipping and free memory upgrades are going to be stackable on this offer.

    Since I am receiving my laptop any day now, they won't possibly do a price adjustment would they?

    With this introduction it must be better than the $500 offer. Free DVD burner, Wireless card, free 512 MB upgrade, or free 60 GB upgrade? The suspense is killing me.

    Man, I just spec'ed an amazing Inspiron 6000 for just over 1100.......with these deals you almost can't afford to NOT buy one.

    He clearly wrote the message on "02/16/2005 : 7:52:40 PM" and said "we can post it at 1:00 a.m. EST tonight". Well, today is well past last midnight, hence my question. Just read the date on his first post.

    Nevermind anyway, I found links to the coupons. They are indeed pretty good. I just spec'ed out a Inspiron 6000 at the highest, the rebate is $800. One thing that concerns me though is the integrated video card, which probably doesn't have any video memory of its own (Intel® Media Accelerator 900 Graphics). Other than that, the machine rox!

    YOU RULE! Thanks for the update! This just saved me $175 (If I ordered a new battery de novo without the system).

    I just called Dell to send me an extra 9 Cell battery rather than send back the one on its way and reordering a new configuration. There was no problem at all. The person on the phone (Call center from New Dehli) was very pleasant and helpful (my mother in law is from New Dehli, also)!

    Here is my configuration:
    Dell 6000
    Pentium M 1.6 Ghz
    512 Mb RAM (shared) (I know I could have gotten 256 MB and placed)
    60 GB HD
    Wifi B/G
    9 Cell Battery + Extra 9 Cell Battery
    WUXGA
    DVD/CD-RW
    $1194

    I have an external 16 X Dual layer Sony DVD burner at home so I didn't need one for the laptop.

    glad you got some money back on the order! I used to work with a group of Indian guys, they were all really nice...it's certainly not a surprise that you were treated well even though it was an overseas call center. In fact, if you start talking to one of those guys/gals on the other end of the phone about Bollywood movies, cricket or your favorite Indian curry they might just give you another $100 off because they like you [ ;)]

    can we add student discount on top of that (of cuz if student discount ever exists..) ? i really dont like the cheap plastic, but with the price, i will give it a try. the previous dell i owned was 4150, it felt much sturdier than the inspiron they have today.

    Wow, this coupon is really good. If your not a gamer and you're looking for a notebook (i6000), this is probably the best time ever to get one. You can config it maxxed out, 1.6 sonoma, 2 gb ram, dvd burner, 60 gb 7200 rpm, all out wireless, 2 9 cells and a wsxga+ screen, what would normally be $3142, with the 34% off + the $600 coupon, you can get it for about $1400-$1500 bucks!

    You cannot do both promotions concurrently. They would be stupid to do that. Overall all an awesome deal!

    I didn't negotiate for more of a discount. I was happy with my deal.
