    Hello
    I found out after many tries, that the flickering of the screen on the DELL XPS 15z is due to connector at the bottom of hinge of the screen, it can be stabilized by pressing on the screen.
    Hope it helps, i think it s the last time i will purchase any Dell, after 3 year of usage their computer is falling appart...

    Lol. I don't know what you expect, but a laptop lasting 3 years before developing a problem (and a relatively minor one at that) is pretty darned good for reliability.

    And I say "minor" problem because a great number of times, the part that goes bad is the motherboard... Which pretty much kills the entire laptop, or costs several hundreds of dollars to fix. A simple cable is easily replaced for a few bucks.

    Yes you are right... hinges felt on both of my alienware after 1 month of purchase, xps15z still working but going into dust...
    I m out of DELL... will SELL DELL ... BUY Microsoft Surface Book.
