I have the 9cell and always unplug from the mains when it says 100%, fully charged. On a couple of occasions it has said the above (in the title) - anyone else get this and why?

I don't think I see the issue, but generally laptops will not charge the battery if it is more than 95% charged.

If you ever unplug it briefly and it only discharges a little bit, it won't recharge it because charging small amounts reduces the life of the battery. So it will only recharge if it's charge is reduced a substantial amount. If you keep it on AC power for really extended periods of time, the battery will discharge a little bit over that time, too.

Thanks for your feedback. This does make sense as I have occasionally nudged the power lead from the laptop socket when I have moved it around on the table.
