hi, my laptop is only 2month old and i noticed the volume wasnt as loud...so i moved the balance meter left and right and noticed the left speaker wasnt working...i downloaded the drivers again but no luck.

is it possible it is dead, or could there be some settings somewhere that made it mute?

is it easy to access it to check the wiring?

    thanks in advance

This seems to happen everynow and then. Its probebly not a driver issue but more of a hardware issue. Considering it used to work. Call up the XPS line i guess. The connection to the speaker might be bad or its the speaker it's self thats dead.
