    xps m1530 wont recognize usb slots

    i recently reformated my xps m1530, ive been using xp since september and i finally found all the working drivers, and now that ive reformated and installed all my drivers, my computer wont recognize any usb slots or my fingerprint reader, because apparently its not plugged in to usb either... anyhow i googled my problem and i havent been able to find any fix. anyone got any ideas?

    Try re-installing/updating the chipset
    Also we're on XP SP2 right?
    or SP3?
