    xps m1530 DVD driver problem

    in device my dvd drive has a yellow excl. mark...and it wont read anything...where do i get drivers to download...

    just to avoid flaming it is not listed on the driver thread or on their website under driver downloads...

    The DVD drive shouldn't need a driver. Vista should automatically recognize it.

    it does "Recognize" it...but it has the exclamation pt...and it wont read any disks...

    the driver doesnt show up under my computer...even with a disk in...it wont read any disks...no error shows up...just nothing happens

    and under device manager there is a little yellow exclamation next to my dvd drive...

    could be a corrupted driver. Delete the device and reboot. Vista should automatically choose the right driver.

    uhh..delete the device...like in device manager say remove driver?

    right click the driver..select uninstall.. reboot and vista should show new device found and will install it... (I'm refering XP .. so in Vista it may change a bit.. but the way sould be similar)

    I have this issue as well, it says

    Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The Driver may be corrupted or missing. (code39).

    I'm running xp-pro... and haven't had any issues with it for the past couple weeks since I downgraded. Any input?

    I was under the impression that all 1530's had Alps touchpads. We got shafted on that one.
