    I thought the m1530 supported Blu-Ray playback?

I've tried with a few BD's and the drive scans the disc then spits it out.

I have reinstalled the OS (vista 32bit) since I got it (and chipset, all drivers, etc.), did I miss the blu-ray support on the resource cd?

    thx

ps: feel a bit foolish. checked the drive with nero infotool and says no BD support!

AFAIK, when you config your system, you could either chose a dvd-writer or a blu-ray drive. Are you sure you have a blu-ray drive? If not, then of course you won't be able to use blu-ray discs.

If yes, you might want to check your video drivers. Again, AFAIK, for blu-ray playback, the video drivers need to have the WHQL signing. What driver version do you have?

Sorry, my mistake; just a regular DVD-RW.

I actually bought the xps from a high street store (currys) so no config available.
