    xps m1330 looks wash out when unplug

    Every time when I unplug my AC adapter and run on the battery the images and font on the screen looks washout. What I mean by this is that the font looks less black almost a grayish color and the images is not as sharp. As soon as I replug the AC everything looks nice again. Any1 have a similar problem? BTW brightness is set on max all the time.

    No, not me. Usually when you unplug the power cord, display brightness goes down (depending on the power profile). But there is no difference between when plugged in and not, when compared at the same brightness level.

    I don’t think the OP is talking about a bad LCD, he says the problem only occurs when running on battery.

    Mine is also fine where its plugged in or not. I have the birghtness high either way, so I dont even notice any difference whatsoever whether Im on battery or power.
