So when i go to the physX properties i see three options on my xps 1730:

    no accleration
    Geforce Physx
    Aegia Physx

I am not sure which one of these i am supposed to use??

And is this card really doing anything in my games. Even if it was how do i know? I have installed the latest physx driver from the nvidia site. i am running 179.13 drivers from laptopvideo2go. and have the 8800 running sli.

also, whenever i try to run the physx demos i get rundll32 stopped working. and the program closes.

i am having a hard time trying to get figure this stuff out. i don't nvidia has done a very good job explaing their products and how they are being used in a notebook setting.

Geforce Physx > This will use your Geforce GFX Card to process Phyics Engine Works ( stuffs like dynamic lighting )

Aegia Physx > This means that you have Dedicated Physx which will be solely responsible all physics calculation and so leave the GFX to do the rendering job :D

If you can tick the GeForce Physx box then you have Physx accleration activated...nothing to worry about.
I think vinumsv explained it the best way.
