im sorry, but i have a question and im not sure where exactly to post it, so here goes...
ive seen a couple of threads where people say something about recieving earphones, docks, and other stuff when their comp comes...
is that something automatic? i just dont see it anywhere when i configure any type of build...
or are these extra items selected, and u pay for them?

Those accessories used to be *standard* with the 1530's..now some get them, some don't.
If you don't receive all of them..Be sure to call Dell right away.
I have heard that if they are not a part/on the order, some peep's have still received them.
Recently they stopped putting them in most orders..
And, I really don't understand why...as they are part of the XPS notebooks.
If, you call and order via phone ~ you can always ask them pre-order, how to be sure you get them

i called them last night, and i told them that my sales rep during time of purchase told me that i wud get them (and she even put me on hold to check with someone else who said it was standard)...so the resolution manager is sending me the creative noise-cancelling earbuds in black to match my xps case, the silk/microfiber cloth, and the cd case. Ask them what earbuds they are sending you because you dont want some crappy ones, u want the real creative noise-cancelling ones.

I also called them and they are freaking morons. I can't believe laptops this good are being sold by people so dumb.
They kept telling me "Its not on your order", I swear I had to go through 4 people repeating myself saying "It's a free complementary gift, its not suppose to show up in the order".
Every single time I asked for a manager "they are not available". In the end after being transferred from customer service to sales, then from sales from customer service 4 times I decided to hang up. I was on the phone for 40 minutes . . .
Also, is it just me or does every single Dell rep have the same accent and voice? -

the sleeve is almost guraranteed to come, since ur laptop ships in that sleeve
remote should be listed in ur invoice, so guaranteed that....
the earbuds, cloth, CD case... yep, if it doesnt come, call Dell CSR -
There was that one guy who didn't get that sleeve.... refurbs don't come in a sleeve from what I've heard.

Anyone from Europe get those things? I only got the sleeve for the laptop. No cloth, earplugs and leather holder.

you know, its kinda obvious too -- the cd case. because if u look at the packaging of the accessories box, the left side is shaped like you wud put a cd case there.. thats one of the things i told my service rep. -

I only got the sleeve, but I called them up and was redirected (after 3 tries) to a really nice guy who sent me the earphones and mouse, but before they shipped, I asked if he could switch it with some Sony noise-canceling headphones, and he did! w00t. They also sent me an optical mouse, which I don't really use anyway.
