    xps 1530 (play/stop/skip) buttons for Winamp?

    can you use the buttons on the laptop (play/stop/skip) with winamp?

    I think so, on my m1330 the media buttons are registered as keystrokes (ie like any other key on the keyboard) and Windows knows what to do then. This leads me to believe they will just work in Winamt too :)

    Then how do you configure them ? I would love if I could get them to work with iTunes. How about the remote control, is it possible to configure that too ?

    For Itunes: Download this file. Its a global hotkey plugin.

    and unzip it on this location:

    C:\Users\your user\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iTunes Plug-ins

    Restart iTunes

    For winamp: Go to preferences and enable global hotkeys, thats it :)

    I dont use VLC player so cant help you there. I believe theres is a way with VLC though. There should also be a global hotkey plugin for it, just search around

    thx guys i just didnt know what to search for... but just saying its a global key feature many results comes up... anyway


    foobar2000 the global key feature works out of the box, amazing not plug in required

    vlc there is a plugin for ne version 0.9.2 though... not 0.9.4 yet http://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=18350&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=90

    winamp with the plugin posted before are working great

    itunes as well...
