    Hello everyone,
It's been a while that i am experiencing CPU overheating, i think it's an overheat..
when i am just browsing the net i get an 78-80 Celsius, and when i play a YouTube 1080p video it gets to 86 Celsius with a maximum of 93 Celsius..
(BTW - i am using HWmonitor to monitor the CPU heat)

another problem is when i connect my laptop to my docking station ( a D3100 USB 3 Docking Station) i can get up to 100 Celsius...it's really hot..

i would like to know if you guys heard about this issue in that model before.. and if so, do you know about any solution? and if you are an XPS 13 9343 owner, what is your average CPU temp please?

P.S- i already opened a case with DELL and they replaced my motherboard and cooling body, but without any success..
the problem with my issue is that i purchased my laptop in the US, and i am living in another country so i don't really know what to do in case that nothing else will resolve my issue.

    thanks in advance :).
    Yax.

    My machine is:
    dell xps 13 2015, i7 5500u 8gb QHD touch screen.

That is very strange. What is the CPU usage during those times of high heat (e.g. YouTube videos)?

Are all of the fan intake / exhaust vents clear and unblocked of dust? Are you using the laptop on a flat surface? (Not a blanket, carpet, or deskpad)

Have you updated drivers and BIOS (especially BIOS)?

Let me put it this way about my temps on my XPS 13... I don't know what my temps are. I never measured them, because my laptop never got hot to the point where I thought I should measure them.

i will tell you what, dell customer service sent me a technician, twice, he replaced my Fan, cooling and motherboard.
i got the latest bios according to their website- which is the A07..
i am using a flat surface, it's usually my room table and i got a 23 Celsius in my room.
my CPU Usage is usually 40%-70%, which i really can't understand why.

have you checked yours? it would be nice to know whether mine is too hot or it's not.
    thanks in advance.

Don't know what to tell you.

I booted up my XPS 13 to type this. Two 1080p YouTube videos running in the background, and about 18 Google Chrome tabs open. CPU usage would spike up to 100% during high load periods, but otherwise settled at around 25% - 40%. CPU temps during this went between 35C and 57C.
