There doesn't appear to be anything unusual; the BB model is a low-end configuration of the description on the Dell website. The BB model has the minimum specs in terms of the CPU, HD, and GPU.

The price difference may be because many retailers buy units in bulk, receiving a discount for their arrangement.

well.. looks like the only difference is the price..

I bought two months ago a Dell Studio Hybrid por 399 +tax at best buy store.. and let me tell you.. in the dell store the same hybrid with the same specs was 649 + tax and i needed to wait like 2 weeks for delivery..

so I bought it in Best buy...

I don't know how, but Best Buy some times have better prices than Dell Store..

The extra comes in the form of Dell's warranty system.

Most of the laptop sold in BestBuy doesn't have Bluetooth and this includes both Dell and HP models. Yep looks like the warranty is the clencher with Dell

You can buy a Bluetooth module on e-Bay for like $20, so that's a non-issue.

I have the bestbuy model, I bought mine in February, 999 at the time, it's cheaper now. Call bestbuy first, because the one I have and the ones thats they stock definitely include bluetooth, and the same 1 year warranty, I know this because I have had a tech come out and was fully covered.

Just FYI, Best Buy does price matching. If you can find it at another store (not internet source) for a cheaper price, they will match the price and knock off 10%.

The XPS 13 at Best Buy doesn't have BlueTooth according to the website, Dell and Best Buy. To the OP, the BlueTooth dongles everyone is referring to are USB which are plug and play but suck because they protrude and waste a USB port. I would spend the extra money and get the PCMCIA ones because no one uses PCMCIA for anything usually. It will still stick out but not much. Regarding why Best Buy is cheaper, it is business modeling. If you have to make variety, it costs more money. Best Buy buys an insane amount of them from Dell plus I bet they get kick backs and rebates because in most stores, the XPS 13 is on a smaller display, attracting attention. Extended warranties are always a waste so I wouldn't bother with that.

The website doesn't mention it, but the best buy model DOES have bluetooth! I just got mine last week. Definitely has built in bluetooth.
