    I'm wondering the same thing!

The heatsink/fan assembly has been removed from my M1530 several times, and I've applied new thermal past to the CPU/GPU but the northbridge requires a thermal pad!

    Anyone in the know?

you know what i did? I took the thermal pad off and mended it with my fingers into a ball and then a square, turns out this stuff is kind of like clay or wax...

also the north bridge doesn't get too hot, so buying a new thermal pad won't really be necessary.
