    underclock xps 1530

    hi, i would like to know, is it possible to do an underclock on the xps 1530 on the gpu and the cores? i would like to know if its safe, and how can i do?
    i use windows vista and xp, the videocard its geforce 8600 and the processor its t5800, do somebody can help me to do this?

    Both the GPU and CPU downclock when not in use.

    I presume he just means to change the max clocks that are used in various situations. (ie so when gaming the card never reaches full clocks).

    You can do this easily using Rivatuner (provided you have the right driver, some don't allow clock changes)

    There are separate settings for performance 3D, standard 3D, 2D.

    Get nTune. In there you can underclock the GPU. ;)

    I believe its under the performance list, you will see sliders under the GPU Core Clock, Memory, Shader Clock, and you can adjust them.
