hi, im a pretty average college student and i need to replace my laptop, ive deteremined it down to the studio 15 b/c i like its battery life, but i cannot decide what to do about the graphics card

i will put flatly i do not game, however i do run alot of sort of UI fancy up stuff like topdesk, windowsblinds, and so forth, and id like to be able to run aero and output using hdmi

that being said, can anyone help me figure out which 256 ati radeon hd 3450 or the intel 4500mhd

by far battery life is most important to me, but if the difference in battery between the two is going to be only like 10 minutes than id prefer to just get the ATI so i know i can run things like media center and stuff like that very smoothly

also the specs i was look at besides the card was basically a core 2 duo t6400 , 4 gb of ram, and i havent decided on hd , but i figure thats irrelevant

im definitely going to the get the 9 cell battery because i need it for school

anyway, thanks for reading this far, and any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you don't game, get the Intel. Pretty much end of story. The difference in battery life will be significant, especially on a 9-Cell. The performance of the X4500 is only slightly less than that of the discrete 8400M GS; it will run all the fancy Vista features just fine.
