    Hi guys:

    I recently bought a 1330 with ubuntu, and i upgraded from the standard LCD to something that said "Slim and Light LCD", however, it didnt say it was a LED screen.

    I have never heard of 3 different types of screens for the 1330... to my knowledge there is only standard CCFL and LED.

    On the order status i have the following part number for the screen:

    320-5591 SLIM LCD, BLK W/ CAMERA M1330

    however i've read of people getting part number [320-5583]

    whats going on?

    i will be very mad if i dont end up getting LED since i definetly upgraded the standard LCD...

    Slim & Light == LED

    and for the LED, its much brighter.... and u can actually flex the screen a bit if u try..

    An led screen is still an lcd so how does the screen not distort when you press on it?

    i dunno, but probably due to the fact that its thinner = LCD no where to go

    and it doesnt distort a lot when i press my m1330 LED Lcd screen

    On their site it lists the slim and light as LED so I am sure it is the LED.

    Please note both are LCD screens and the difference is how it was backlighted. Adding to the confusion DELL does say 'slim' on both models.
    Your partnumber says yours is NOT a LED backlit LCD.

    For LED baclit screen, it should say something like this in your order:

    -- LCD and Camera --
    -- Slim and Light LED Display with VGA Webcam
    -- [320-5583]
