    overclocking XPS M1530 CPU

    Hiya,


    I saw a sig on here say that the owner had overclocked the laptop processor to 3ghz

    the user at the top called Shawnhao. Ive emailed the user to ask how it was done but in case I dont get a reply can anyone else tell me how to overclock my t9300?

    Ive searched for modded bios etc in google and in this forum..

    Help... need more power !! (if I can then why not? )

    We are trying to find out how the CPU was overclocked, whether it be with an FSB adjusting program, modded BIOS, etc. because nobody else has figured out how.

    yes its not the speeds im looking at, its the method or bios he used to overclock the processor!

    How can I overclock my t9300 processor (not gpu. I already done this)

    Overclocking a already hot running expensive m1530 is NOT smart!!! ;)

    Overclocking ANY laptop isn't a smart idea. They just don't have adequate cooling to handle the extra stress.

    Hmmm... I don't see the point OC'ing your CPU, seeing how GPU being the bottleneck most of the time.

    But I'm interested to know how he did that.

    Intel has locked their chips along time ago so the only way to OC the cpu is to raise the FSB.

    I can see how its possible but i wouldnt say its a safe thing to do. 3.0ghz is pushing it, id like to see the temps for it.

    Theres no good reason to OC the CPU

    i have to agree with flipfire it just isn't worth the possible price ou have to pay for a new cpu or maybe even a new motherboard
