Well ive been having a weird problem, my mouse when using the touchpad will either not work, or work for a bit, then jump to one side of the screen.

I had this problem with an external mouse, so i went & turned on automatic disabling of the touchpad when external mouse was on, problem solved.

BUT i just used my touchpad this morning when i thought it was morning but actually 5pm. and it was jumping all over like a mofo, so i played around, didnt touch the laptop anywhere and finger on the touchpad & it works.

Then i touched just to the left of the touchpad on the alluminum & my mouse would move, jump, slide, and all sorts of stuff!

So i guess there is a bad contact in my 1530 & the touchpad is someone transmitting threw the alluminum!

I think i have a similar problem. When i close the screen and reopen it. I touch it and let go it goes from the left corner to the right corner and stays. My mouse goes crazy for about one minute then it is back to normal.

its probably something you can fix yourself if you arent afraid of taking your laptop apart. check the connections around the touchpad.
