    m1330 gpu or lcd failure?

    I have a small problem with my m1330 laptop. At some times it works perfectly, but at other times it will boot up but only a series of colours as can be seen in the image below. [​IMG]
    I wanted first though it was a problem with the LCD, but later read that there are quite some problems with the m1330 gpu. Do you think I need a new LCD or that the GPU is to blame? I hope someone can help.

    Do you have an external monitor output that you could try
    If it works externally that would eliminate the GPU and point to your display as the issue

    That vertical bar appeared in my M1330 LCD some weeks ago. What I did was pushing a bit on the lower part of the LCD, right to the Dell silver logo and the vertical bar disappears.

    It seems it's the LCD being a bit loose. If it persists I would call Dell support in case your guarantee is active.
