    Have you tried this?

EDIT: I just realized that it did not cover all the drivers. There are links in some of the comments though.

Yeah, I am looking around( I am bored and about to go to bed) and keep finding everyone saying that it is the same drivers as the Vostro. Can't hurt to try them, if they are incompatible they will not install. As cool as laptops can be they can be just a PITA sometimes. Like some people I know lol.

I am just going to edit this post with what I find. Here's something interesting... Granted it's XP 64 but you might be able to take off from there. And here is something from the Dell Community Forums regarding this.

i just installed xp to my m1330

    have a look at this

almost every driver you can find in dell.com.. yeah dell.com. although the site doent have xp driver, but almost all when you click compatibility they said xp

matrix storage -- get it from intel
    video-- u know where
rocoh memory reader -- the same driver support vista and xp
Broadcom 59XX ethernet -- the same support xp
webcam -- the same support xp
    touchpad -- from synaptic
sigmatel audio -- chose inspiron 1420 and when you click the compatibility it says compatible with m1330
wireless draft-n --- get it from intel
bluetooth--- this is the hardest, u need to use the one from m1730

i think they are all, any problem can be solved reading the thread .....

i got my xp fully working.... well only havn't tested firewire, hdmi(i don't have hd tv lol) and Mic, but there is not yellow mark in device manager
