I've tried multiple port replicators and I’m having an issue that after a while, they stop working and the only way to get them to work again is to shut the computer off, TAKE THE BATTERY out and then start again. if I don’t take the battery out the port replicator will not work.

The weird part is that the usb ports still work for other peripherals if I connect them (like a mouse)

Any ideas what's going on ? is it a hardware issue ?

    Thanks !

So i was able to dedect a pattern here.

If i go into hibernation for a long period of time this will happen. I found out that if i take the laptop into hibernation mode and then wake it up, it will "fix" the problem.

Any ideas of a fix for this ?
