Has yours died after like a year or a little more? I've been reading the comments on the 9 cell battery purchase page on Dell and the reviews all had their 9 cells holding a charge either for a year or year and a half and then not holding a charge anymore. I am asking because I do not want to drop $155 on a battery that will only last a year. And I am looking to replace my 6 cell since it died after a year and a half.

And one last question what are the cons of buying generic brand batteries off ebay? I am curious since most 9 cells for the m1210 are $50-$60.

Thank you so much for your help!

I never replaced my M1210 battery when I had it. It depends on how often you use the battery as far as the lifespan is concerned. As for third party batteries, it is mostly buyer beware. Some are good and some are just cheap and either won't work well for very long or might even explode. Generally you don't want to cheap out on this no matter how tempting it may be.

Have the 6 and 9 cell direct from Dell for my 1210. Both are alive and kicking a year later.

Same as sc32valve; have both batteries for over a year, and both are doing fine. I use it on battery quite often (daily).

I just ordered a "New" non-OEM (but Good Quality) 9 -cell Battery. How long should a "fresh" 9 cell battery last with Wifi On and Nvidia video card? TIA

I've had my 9 cell for about 2 years now, and sadly it has now just packed it in.
I get maaaybe 20 mins out of it in full power save mode.
I'll probably buy one off ebay, Dell is expensive for a battery.

Btw, I did a lot of research as I didn't want a crappy battery. I bought it from Titan-batteries...they seem to be the "best" quality e.g. made with Japanese cells and full money back guarantee. You can also get 25% off right now if you use MS live cashback...GL
