I'm thinking of getting a laptop cooler that doesn't consume a lot of battery power and is quiet, and has fan speed controls, but I have the 9 cell battery so I don't know which ones wouldn't get in the way so I was wondering what you guys were using ^^. Pictures of them with ur xps would be nice ^^

*meant to say laptop cooler compatible with 1530, sry*

houstoned, can u give me some peak gpu temp numbers with and without the cooler? I'm seriously considering the NZXT cryo and was wondering what kind of results I can realistically expect.

i haven't done any extensive testing cuz i dont have a digi cam yet. i was waitin to do a full review.
did 3 consecutive benchmark05 tests in a row without:
    GPU: 74c
    CPU: 63c
    HD: 40c

long period of idle (2-3 hours) without:
    GPU: 65c
    CPU: 43c
    HD: 36c

very short period of idle *right after gettin done with above testing* with the cooler:
    GPU: 53c
    CPU: 26c
    HD: 31c

when i turn on my laptop for the first time and leave it idle with the laptop cooler on. i've seen my HD temps dip down to mid-upper 20's and GPU temps dip to 30-40's. i'm usin speedfan to monitor HD/CPU temps and rivatuner to monitor GPU temps.

i gotta take a pix of my tuxedo m1530 sittin on my brushed aluminum silver cryo LX. its beautiful. the cooler itself is made of pure aluminum. no plastic. no bs. its safe to say i'm gonna keep this cooler for a very long time. if one of the (120mm) fans go out, i'm just gonna replace the fan. its versatility is unbeatable by any of the mentioned coolers posted in this forum.

box says: Cryo LX - Aluminum cooler for power notebooks. just thought that was kinda cool lol...
