I am installing ulitmate vista on my notebook, I have the full version, should I have all the drivers on a separate disk before I format my drive or will Vista have the drivers that I need? Is there anything else I should do before formating my hdd?

Before installing any OS, but especially Vista, make sure you have all the drivers for your system downloaded and stored seperate before loading the new OS.

DELL HAS MOST IF NOT ALL DRIVERS ON THEIR SUPPORT SITE FOR VISTA, JUST KNOW THAT YOU SHOULD DO A CLEAN INSTALL OF VISTA SINCE THERE IS A PERFORMANCE DECREASE NOTED IF YOU JUST UPGRADE FROM XP. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO USE FORCEWARE DRIVERS FOR A GEFORCE GO 7950GTX AS IT WILL CAUSE SYSTEM INSTABILITY, JUST USE THE DRIVERS PROVIDED BY WWW.SUPPORT.DELL.COM. ALSO, IF YOU INSTALL WINDOWS UPDATE KB929427 WHICH UPDATES ROXIO'S DLA, YOU WILL GET CONSTANT ERROR MESSAGES. THE GOOD NEWS IS THE REMEDY IS SIMPLE, UNINSTALL THE UPDATE, TURN OFF AUTO-INSTALL OF AUTOMATIC UPDATES, AND SET THE OS TO IGNORE THAT SPECIFIC UPDATE WHEN IT FINDS THE UPDATE VIA AUTO-UPDATE. I HOPE YOU HAVE LOTS O RAM IN YOUR SYSTEM (OVER 1GB, 2GB PREFERABLY) VISTA IS A RESOURCE HOG! ALSO, I HOPE YOU LIKE AN OPERATING SYSTEM THAT ASKS YOU IF YOU'RE SURE IF YOU WANT TO DO EVERYTHING AT LEAST TWICE FOR EVERYTHING YOU CLICK ON. HOPE THIS WAS HELPFUL.

UPDATE: Look for these forceware video drivers: version: 100.65 they have doubled my FPS in gaming!!!
