    hardware stops working after sp3

    Anybody else noticed this ?
    XPS M1530

    After installing XP3
    This is what happend.

    a. MY Bat is no longer detected so I cant reflash my BIOS
    b. My DVD Drive will not read CD-ROMs it will only read DVDs and that too those that came with the laptop. I have to burn anything else at 1X for it to read in the drive.
    c. My Express card wont read.

    Then I loaded WIn7. Still no CD/Bat/Express Card.
    Then I load Virtual XP / Virtual Machine

    My DVD is now reading all Disks even the XP SP2 CD
    My Express Card is still dead
    My Bat is still dead.

    The Diagnostics by Dell all work and pass not one failure.

    Well I also got XP with SP3.
    The only problem I encountered so far is that my DVD wont be ejected when I press the release (eject) buttom.

    And I also have some yellow ghosting on my screen, especially in the middle when it comes to black and white changes.

    Other than that everything works just great.
