    hi when i ordered my xps m1730 i got it with a 320 gb 5400 rpm drive would the 5400 rpm slow up gameplay im not talking about loading time but will it give me lag in games

    no. the 320gb 5400rpm hdd's are very fast

    The speed of your hard drive should not affect anything but your load times. Maybe if you have a really paltry amount of memory and your game starts raping the page file, you'll get some sort of slowdown, but for the most part hard drive speed should have no relationship to fps.
