Those temps look low. Let the latop run for a hour then rerun tests.

Those are fine. There is nothing to worry. Still you might want to do some real stress test' on your components with some free tools you can find around here in NBR...

Quickly, you can try Orthos for CPU (gives you an idea of stability too), RT HDR IBL for the GPU (or you could try the 3dmark benchmarking too, if u prefer), and HDtune.... These temp' will get you the max hits.. and its better to have an idea like this and compare with the idle temp's and normal temp's (browsing, listening to music, a couple of office programs for example). Good luck...

But again, your temp' are fine and nothing to worry about, IMHO. Enjoy your system. Cheers.

Dell have just been and replaced the mother board, here are the new temps it reading, whilst just surfing the internet.

    THM - VALUE 48 - MIN 45 - MAX 58

    CORE 0 - VALUE 39 - MIN 36 - MAX 52
    CORE 1 - VALUE 39 - MIN 36 - MAX 50

    GPU CORE - VALUE 65 MIN 63 - MAX 70

    HDD - VALUE 36 - MIN 32 - MAX 37

the GPU temp seems abit higher after he's replaced the motherboard.

Well, to be honest, the min GPU temp shoudn't be 63... its usually more in the range of 53-55 normally... and also just for surfing the web, it does look a pretty high.

I hope the vents or not being blocked or anything... just to be sure.

    at moment -

GPU value 57 min 57 max 68, but as i say the min keeps changing

Yes.. the fluctuation is there because the temp' doesn't stay at a constant level... even if you are not doing anything with your computer big time, and you are just browsing on the internet, the GPU still has to work to render your desktop or the browser and such... so the temp' keep bobbing around... its normal.. though you shouldn't see too many fluctuations even when idle...

for me, when system is at idle - meaning, I completely leave it alone for 10 or 15 mins, the temp' stay around 55 - 57 C range....

@OP: Those look like my temperatures. I am running on High Performance, hooked up to my 24" Ultrasharp, and have 6-cell battery which means worse ventilation/circulation than the propped up 9-Cell one.

I am running 2.5GHz and 8600m GT if that makes any difference.
