    do these laptops have built-in crossover adapters?

    connecting my PC to my laptop, i figured i'd have to use a crossover cable, but the connection works perfectly even with a normal ethernet cable (AND also with a crossover).

    yea itll work fine with a regular ethernet cable, i used to connect my laptop to my friends desktop all the time for data transfers and stuff.

    Most newer ethernet does it automatically.
