    Hi guys,

    I have studio xps 16

last week, audio jacks stopped working

and I couldn't hear anything neither from headphones nor integrated speakers

so as a quick solution, I disassembled the laptop and soldered 3 wires over the jacks to make integrated speakers/mic work

Now I can hear sound but of course still can't plug external speakers, headphones or mics

So I have to replace the sockets or the entire audio board

(the audio board is a small board with a cable connector having usb ports, audio and LEDs )

    and the question is:

where can I get this board ONLINE ?

I've seen some audio boards on ebay but for different models :(

I can't contact my local dealer because I got the laptop as a gift from another country

You should have transferred the warranty to your country, but even if you hadn't, why couldn't you contact your local dealer? I am sure he'd be happy to take your money for the part.

You may still be able to have it serviced - See below:

Since you are in Egypt (guessing here based on the icon you attached to your post), you'll need to review this info -

Europe, Middle East and Africa Indirect Countries Tag Transfer Request Form

Europe, Middle East and Africa Indirect Countries Tag Transfer Policy

Europe, Middle East and Africa Indirect Countries Dell Authorised Provider List

As for the part/part#, your best choice would be to contact a local dealer and obtain a part# and price quote (with the part# you can always do a google search to try to find an online dealer which carries the part). If that fails, contact Dell directly to secure a replacement part:
