    average 1730 8800sli 3dmark scores??

    what are they? how well does it perform overall. also can how well does it do over the single 8800? im torn between a 15" single card notebook like the edge or m15x or the dual setup like 1730 / 9262 type systems??

    • Bored at work so here is a list!
    • SLI might not be for you; many games currently work better in single GPU mode
    • However, that being said, those games that support SLI (newer stuff, like COD4) see a significant increase in performance AND
    • When there is a small or negligible increase in performance, you will xperience an increase in image quality. SLI supports extra anti aliasing modes only rendered in SLI that greatly enhance increase quality even if the FPS performance is the same as only 1 card
    • New games will generally be supporting SLI now that more and more rigs are offering it. Basically, your laptop is kind of future proofed, or at least future ready, for new games with this set up. Assuming up to 90% increase in performance, no single generation gpu jump in the near future will offer that

    yeah i love the 15" format but i know i cant get that kind of power in it..even with the upcoming 9800gtx i cant imagine it performing as well as 2 8800gtx's do..

    I agree... based on how the 9800 desktop card proved I don't think that you will get 2 times the performance as the 8800m GTX SLi either..
