    while everyone else is going 9800 GTX ... them xps are still running on 8800 GTX ???

    I had the same question myself. Their notebook lineups seem to be using the older generation Nvidia video cards. Does any know any updates that are in the works?

    there wont be a new m1730 dell is dumping their gaming line to alienware. plus the 9800 series of nvdia cards are a joke there barley and upgrade from the 8800. plus 8800 gtx sli is still a godly setup

    yeah the only difference between the 9x and the 8x is that the 9 series has a bit faster core ( like 50 mhz ) and sometimes some more dedicated ddr3 ram, but thats about it .... and i agree, the 8800GTX still kicks butt at a reasonable price :D

    Its wrong that 9800m gtx has "like 50 mhz faster core". The core/mem/shader speed is exacly the same on the 9800m gtx and the 8800m gtx. The difference is that the 9800m gtx has 112 shader cores, and the 8800m gtx has 96 shader cores, And the 9800m gtx has 1GB VRAM , when the 8800m gtx has 512MB VRAM.
