    hi , yesterday finally I bought M1530 ,
I have some question about it :

1)There is just 2 partition on HD , one is C , another is for back up , could I devide the main partition C to more partition ? Please explain that how could I do that ?
2)Is it possible to instal XP or another version of vista ? If yes how could I do that ?
3)when the hard are working in high rpm (for example when I'm coping files) there is no sound but in low rpm (when i'm looking for file in folder) when i touch my ear to left side of mouse-pad -where the HD is locates- there is a little noise , has the HD got any problem ?
4)It's the first time that I'm working with vista , I couldn't find the version of my vga driver , please explain in detail

    thanks

    1. You can use Vista's disk manager to change the volume size. Control Panel>System and Maintenance>Create and Format hard disk partitions

    2. Yes, here is a guide.

    3. No, you're hard drive is fine.

    4. You can find the latest video card drivers at http://laptopvideo2go.com/

Are you absolutely sure there are only two partitions?
Just because only two are showing, doesn't mean it only has two.
XPS M1730's for instance, have two hidden partitions

You'll find your graphics card drivers version, by going into Control Panel > System > Device Manager > Display Adapters.
Right-click on the product it finds, and select properties > driver.

You can check if you have the latest drivers, by visiting the downloads section for your specific laptop, on Dell's website ;)
