Yes i have a l701x and i see that there is a dedicated thread but i am hoping this will get me a faster response! I tried looking through the thread but cant find my problem! My xps has a white screen and kinda like the screen is split in parts but a light bluish white it outputs to hdmi fine! I have reseated the video cable! I am hoping someone here can help me out and in advance thank you!

I think you will need a new LCD display, since you already verified the GPU works on a external monitor.

it is possible the video cable is bad as well. but usually the cable problems tend to work or not work depending on the flexing of the cable

wow quick reply thanks i am leaning toward that but i wanted to kinda feel it out before i pull the trigger on a new led! Just have to decide if i am gonna get the 1080p screen or the 900 i am not keeping this laptop once its fixed but 1080 might be a selling point!

it maybe easier to replace the screen with the exact replacement, unless you verified the particular model of display your buying has already worked on your model.

if you go from a lower res screen to a higher one, the stock video cable may not support the higher res, so do some research if that's the route your going.
