    Hey guys I have a really old ,like 5 year old, xps 1530 with 256ddr3 gpu ram. Is this a laptop in which I can swap in a new graphics card?

    No the M1530 has a soldered Nvidia chip. Also the M1530's 8600M GT or 8400M GS are part of a massive list of defective chips made by Nvidia. I would look to get a new laptop more than anything...most things will easily outclass an 8600M GT these days.

    after what i went through with my alienware and dell, I'd never buy that brand again.
