ok I have no idea what happened, Ill put the message I posted below and hopefully that will work (I can't even edit what was supposed to be above)

    -----------

I was going to search around first but the seach function won't work for some reason.

I am having problems with the sound synching up to video when I connect my laptop to my tv - it doesn't seem to matter what I watch it always happens. Anyone got any ideas to try? This is the first time I have used the hdmi to connect to anything so I don't know if this is new or always been like this.

It doesn't match, its not in sync with the picture, but there is sound. It seems to be the hdmi sound only, if I turn off the hdmi sound and have it come through the laptop speakers it then matches what is on the tv.
It always happens in any video, but not always straight away.

I was just wondering if anyone had problems like this on the same laptop and so new more specifically what to look at/try.

    sound doesn't match the picture.

How many GB's of the movie are you watching?

What movie player are you using?

Are you running anything in the background?

And also, how is your harddrive activity in the background while you're watching the movie? (if you don't know how to check HDD activity, I use this desktop gadget to tell me how my laptop's running in the background).

    http://download.microsoft.com/downl...D-A793-A84FCFA0E299/Battery_Meter_V1.0.gadget

One last one, how is the CPU activity while you're watching the movie?

And TRY this last step before you give up on me ;)

Right click the movie player you're USING (while the icon is on the DESKTOP). Click "Run with graphics processor" and click "high performance Nvidia processor".

Come back with answers and results and i'll try my best to help! (bookmarked this thread)
