Something very strange happened this morning. After pressing on/of button and DELL logo apears, i noticed that the logo bar was hardly filling. After some time when done (filled up) and when usually Vista starts loading - IT WENT CRAZY! Some very scary unstoppable beeping noise starts coming from some internal speaker dunno exactly. Screen was pitch black , no windows , no sh.t . After 20/30 sec screen appears let me choosing to run diagnostics or to start windows normally.
Well i take all possible cares for this lappy. It has coolpad , on my desk , no dust no sh.t ... what happens again! I just dont want pass through whole returning procedure again!
What do u think. Is this serious. Now it runs well , but is this happening a sign? For broken mobo , or else ....

first of all, backup your data, if you havent already done that regularly.
have you done a virus/spyware scan?
dell released a video driver/firmware update recently, could be that..
best bet is to contact DELL.
how long have you have this laptop for?
by the looks of things it is still new, as it is a peryn based one.. -
Never did antivirus check , except spyware ones.
I'm using latop2go drivers , and never had problems with these.
You're right. It's almost brand new , 2 moths baby.
You say virus , if this is the reason how could happen in lower level , i mean when windows is not loaded.
I never heard this before from XPS users. Sounds like hardware failure to me.
... doing backup 10x for help wobble987 -

Silly maybe, but did you have a stuck key or something?
-
You can always try to reinstall windows, seeing as you can (presumably) pass the bios screen.. It's worth a try.

bigdaddycadillac:
not silly at all , but not the case .
rubenvb:
You propose to reinstall vista, but why , OS is running perfectly ( or just it seems ). To radical i think. This happened in the very begining , when windows is not already called from MBR or ... how is called bootloader dunno. Only thing i need to now is if this is a hardware issue. If not whever it is i'll get over it somehow. -
It sounds like your laptop sneezed. Maybe that cooling pad is too good.
-
... well optimism is the only thing left :]
