Hello i just recently purchased a dell xps m1730 laptop and i would like to do a manual reinstall of windows vista using dell recovery CD , but i am not sure on how to do this and im scared to mess it up.
I went on dell website to try and grab the latest drivers but not sure wich one to dowload. For example under chipset option there are two downloads and i have no idea wich one i need. ( i can`t find the drivers for the logitech LCD)
Also i believe this laptop has a partition on wich the OS is saved on in case i want to reinstall factory defaults? Should i delete this?
Since i have two hard drives on wich hard drive should i install the OS , im really confused here need help :)

The Logitech LCD driver is there, under applications, if I remember correctly, or extras, or something like that.
    As for reinstalling ...
    It`s plug and play.
Put in the dvd , boot, follow instructions, format the partitions, finish installation, then install drivers, and you`re good to go.
Also, most drivers can be found on the Dell dvd,the only ones worth updating are the chipset and video drivers...

Should i install the latest bios or stay with the one it shipped with?
On the new bios it says support for new graphic cards , just wondering if it helps with overheating for 8800m or is that a problem with just the 8400 and 8600?
Also is the 8800m gtx a g96 processor?

You can also get the latest GamePanel software from Logitech [Software, Downloads, G15 ( or G19 I guess if you want ).

That said, Dell's driver should be fine, a few new lcd apps were added, but most of the changes in GP 3 are for the G19.
