Currently have an XPS 1210 with the cingular WWAN module - works great by the way and very speedy and I am considering upgrading to the m1330

My question is this - can I pull this module and install it in the M1330? I believe the answer to that question is yes, however the real question is are the antenna's for the WWAN card installed in the notebook even when you do not order the WWAN option?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    AT&T built-in cellular mobile broadband (HSDPA 3.6) 55MBMC [313-5178]

That's the product code and SKU.

Thank you - I understand that - my question is if I can remove the module from my xps1210 and install it in the xps1330 - in fact I know I can as it is mini pci - the real question is are the antenna's required (for the WWAN module) installed in the xps1330 if I order it without the WWAN module.

There are pics of the xps 1330 without the WWAN card and it looks like the antenna's are there for sure - but it is hard to tell. I have gotten both answers from dell.

You can try asking a sales rep, but we won't know until we get our laptops (and that will take us a month or more). :-(

1210 is quite new and considering upgrading to m1330? I got my D600 with everything 1 month ago, it can do everything except playing serious games.
The D600 costs me US$300. I am happy with it.

I will wait for 1-2 years before buying M1330 when the price will plummet to rock bottom before I buy in :)
