Hi,
I've had my m1330 for over a year now, and I just installed the most recent nVidia graphics drivers because it was having quite a few problems with the old drivers...
Anyways, now with the new drivers my fan is CONSTANTLY on - I only have a few web browsers open and the CPU is definitely not being stressed...
Any suggestions?

Did you recently update your BIOS as well? If you have a nVidia 8400M GS, then you should know that there is a known problem with nVidia GPUs, they will fail over time under the stress of high temperature fluctuations. Therefore DELL released a BIOS update to make the FANs run more often. In any case I think it is safe to have them ON. Read more about the problem :
