Hi all, I have a M2010 that turns on (lights turn on) but the screen is blank. One of my friends also has the same problem with his and our warranties have expired! Is this a known problem with M2010s?
Is there a way to test the laptop on an external display to see if other components are broken?

    Thanks!

I like it but it has been giving me problems. Looks like it's a motherboard issue. Going to see if it simply needs some soldering. Anybody know where to look first on the mobo?

I tried an external display (using S-Video, since I don't have a DVI cable) with Fn+F8 but nothing shows. Should I get a DVI cable to be sure?

Is there a way to tell if it's the motherboard or the video card that's broken?
