I've reloaded my M1730 and when I did that only one headphone jack works now. How do I make both jacks work?

    Preciate any help.

You need to install an audio driver. Download it from Dell's webpage.

I have already. One of the dual jacks works just not the other one.

Are you talking about Vista's default integrated audio driver, or the one Dell has specifically for your model on their site? Vista's driver works, but it cannot handle both audio output jacks. The Dell driver allows you to use and configure both.

thanks for the suggestions I have it working now

Dell's driver wouldn't install because it said a newer one was already installed.

deleted it from device manager and reinstalled and now it works fine

    thanks again
