    Hey guys,

    I just ordered my new Dell XPS M1710 with Windows Vista Home Premium and I'm wondering if anyone can tell me whether I would be able to use the 4GB of RAM i ordered. Ive read on many different sites saying different things.. PLEASE HELP!!!

    P.S sorry, im a newbie when it comes to this stuff.. Its my first notebook :)

    How much video memory does your graphics card have?


    I would guess your OS will see about 3.25GB of RAM.

    I bought the 7950GTX.. which i believe has 512MB

    and how come only 3.25?

    If it's 512 dedicated, then you'll only have 3GB of available memory. Sorry.
