    XPS M1530: integrated webcam invisible in device manager

    Hello:
    I have many days hoping to solve this little problem:
    my integrated webcam does not work and does no appear in device manager, and not even tthe blue light when windows starts shines.
    I have windows xp also and the only thing I see is that unknown smbus controller appears...
    any help will be apreciated.

    Had it been working before?
    Have you install/removed any drivers/software?
    You may want to try and delete unknown device in Device manager reboot once done try install webcam drivers.
    Now if all had been working fine and no change to hardware or software it may be you have a damage cable leading to you web cam.

    either windows xp or windows 7 can detect it..installed driver again and no results...looks like it is damaged...BUT HOW???
    can you give the exact part number to seach it at ebay.
    and a tutorial on how to replace it...thanks for help
