    XPS M1530, do the new ones in the US still come with the bonuses?

    Such as the case, microfiber cloth, leather booklet, and earphones?

    Also, the Alps touchpad issues have mostly been fixed right? Especially the problem of opening the screen and it going crazy.

    I just ordered mine and I didn't see any of those extras in my order summary. I'll have to see when I get it.

    i ordered mine a few weeks ago and it arrived this afternoon. I only received the case which the laptop came in. No earphones, booklet, or cloth sadly. I am also in the US if that matters.

    This, is just something they should do for everyone that orders...Across the board. ;) :) Why ruin a strong selling point????

    i didnt get the cloth case, but i got the useless leather binder and the ear phones though.

    I got mine a couple weeks ago. Had the media remote and the XPS case. No leather binder, earphone, or cleaning cloth.

    I only got the remote and XPS case. But I called them and was only able to get the creative earphones(noise-cancelling) shipped next day. I don't think that there are any part numbers for the accessories. They are all just assumed to be there when you receive the package. Besides, I can't find any listing for the remote or case that originally came with the laptop.

    if u read further, the actual items i've got weren't actually the XPS freebies.. they were substitutes....

    which means dont give those numbers if u really want the XPS-branded stuff... find a CSR and explain everything, see if they can give u those stuff

    or u could try ur luck at requesting a $75 Coupon/GC...

    Just talked to another rep and they clarified everything the first rep i talked to said.

    They are basically out of stock of the XPS Branded CD case as well as the cloth- they may sometimes have substitutes for whatever reason but they DO have the Headphones and well ship those immediately.

    Hope that helps. He knew exactly what I was talking about and said he has heard about it from a lot of XPS owners. I am trying for the $75 coupon gift card now and will let you know how it goes since they are out of the CD case and cloth. Wish me luck

    Hey what up guys, i ordered my m1530 on july 7 and it finally shipped today. I am hoping that my lappie will bring all the extras, although i doubt it :( . I was just wondering how you guys would go about asking for the $75 dolalr gift card, just in case i dont get the extras (although i do need a good pair of headphones).     calling/emailing dell customer support and being very very polite and friendly. Haha. But seriously, just put yourself in their shoes- the nicer you are to them, the more likely you'll get a rep to help you and be appreciative that you are being nice to them.

    Just tell them flat out you didn't get the extras and would like compensation like your friend who got a $75 gift card. It really depends on the rep though. The majority of them won't do it and will probably just offer to send you the missing extras.

    As for config, I would have gotten a slightly faster hard drive, but looks pretty good to me.

    I had the same problem......just kind of push in on the blank that is inserted there....it will pop out....it took me a couple tries to get it

    mine arrives monday, so i hope it has it. if it doesnt, ive been speaking with my customer rep and she said it would be no prob to resend out, IF i had the part numbers. i have a couple. i have for the remote, and the earbuds. i dont have any for the cloths/binder. Anyone have that?

    If you ordered from the Dell Outlet, then yes, there is a chance you will not get one, some, or all of the bonuses because the previous owners did not return them.

    If you ordered a brand new one from Dell, then you should receive all the bonuses. Call them up if you have a brand new one and are missing components.

    i ordered new from dell. no luck. they are gonna try and ship them for me., but the problem is that they cant order stuff if it doesnt have product numbers, which the case/cloth dont. the only thing that has a number i could find was the earbuds, which are creative ep630 earbuds. 310-9246
